Barry has been an artist since Jr High School.
In 1979 he won Honorable Mention from Belleville High School for his painting "Tiger".
Barry recieved Third place from Bentley Gallerys for the oil painting "Covered Bridge".
Barry Skelly's artwork has been a featured exhibit at the Ypsilanti Historical Society in Ypsilanti, MI.
